Rodger is a 2020 Buddy Walk Arizona Ambassador!
Rodger is super excited and honored to be an Ambassador of this year’s Buddy Walk! He doesn’t let Down syndrome keep him from doing what he loves, and he loves to live his life to the fullest. Rodger is a Special Olympics gold medalist. He enjoys a wide range of sports, including unified volleyball, golf, tennis, kayaking, tennis and swimming. At age 18, he qualified for Special Olympics World Games tennis competition. That year, the competition was held in Ireland.
Now 37-years old, Rodger participates in DSNetwork’s Xcell program. This program accommodates everyone in Health & Wellness & Fun no matter the limits they may have due to aging. “I have a lot of fun being in the program,” says Rodger. “I also like playing in a band with Higher Octave.” Rodger is a Rock Star and loves to sing, play the bass guitar, the keyboard or drums.
