DSNetwork’s BUDDY WALK ARIZONA is GOING MOBILE

Buddy Walk® Arizona is going mobile with a parade of cars driving through Phoenix ZooLights.
See millions of twinkling and dancing lights at the Phx Zoo!

DSNetwork’s 18th Annual BUDDY WALK ARIZONA
Drive through ZooLights

A limited number of vehicles will be allowed to drive through ZooLights. Teams will be assign time slots for arriving at the Zoo. See below for how many cars your team may be eligible to drive thru ZooLights, based on team’s fundraising totals receive by 10 pm on Nov. 25th.

  • For every $200 raised, team will be eligible to have 1 Vehicle Drive thru ZooLights, up to a maximum of 10 vehicles. (For example: If your team raises $600, your team will be eligible to have 3 vehicles drive thru ZooLights.) 
  • Teams who do not meet the $200 minimum will be invited to a virtual opening ceremony.

ATTENTION TEAM CAPTAINS!
  • Buddy Walk Team Captains will receive an email with all of their team’s tickets that will be exchanged for admission to ZooLights. If you’re a Team Captain and haven’t received your email by noon on 11/27, please email info@DSNetworkAZ.org or call/text 480-759-9150.
  • Buddy Walk t-shirts will be given to the Team Captain for them to distribute to their team members.

Team Captains will be able to pick-up their team’s Buddy Walk t-shirts during the scheduled pickup dates and times below. NOTE: Team Captains are responsible for distributing the shirts to your team members.

*COVID precautions will be enforced. Please wear a mask when picking up your shirts.

Set a Fundraising goal of at least $250.

Below are the prize incentives for the team captain based on teams that raise the following amounts!

$500 – DSNetwork Backpack & Calendar
$1,000 – Bluetooth Speaker, Backpack & Calendar
$2,000 – $75 Safeway Gift Card, Backpack, Bluetooth Speaker & Calendar
$3,500 – One-way Ticket on Southwest Airlines & Calendar
$5,000+ – Roundtrip Ticket on Southwest Airlines & Calendar

Limit one prize per team. Prizes are not cumulative and are subject to change without notice.

ZooLights – Rules of the Road

  • Only vehicles will be allowed into ZooLights.
  • For guest safety, all tailgates, van/car doors and hatchbacks must remain closed at all times.
  • Riding in the back of a pickup truck is not permitted.
  • Guests must remain in their vehicle at all times.
  • All vehicles must follow the guided route.
  • The speed limit is a tortoise-like 4 mph.
  • Vehicle size must be no larger than a full-size long bed truck.
  • Max vehicle specs are: 266″ L x 81″ W x 74″ H.
  • Motorcycles are permitted as long as guests remain seated at all times.
  • Passing is not permitted at any time.
  • Bicycles, skates, skateboards or scooters are not permitted. This is a motorized vehicle experience.

Drive through ZooLights – Additional Rules and Regulations

  • Feel free to decorate your vehicle. No balloons, please.
  • Loud noises are not permitted, including honking, music and yelling.
  • Guest should not attempt to feed the animals as they receive a healthy diet from their zookeepers.
  • Guest are expected to keep everything in their car (waste from food and beverage) and when they leave Zoo grounds, properly dispose of your waste in a trash can or recycle container.
  • Pets are not allowed – please advise in advance if certified service animals will be present , all service animals must be vetted by park ranger staff before entry.

Smoking Policy

  • The Phoenix Zoo is a Non-Smoking Facility. Guests will be asked to refrain from smoking while on zoo grounds.

    Join Arizona’s Buddy Walk with your family and friends.
    Start a team, join a team or register as an individual walker. If you are unable to be with us at the ZooLights on Nov. 28th or live out-of-state, you can register as a virtual walker and form or join a team.
  2. CREATE YOUR ONLINE FUNDRAISING PAGE
    After you register, customize your fundraising page by editing text and uploading pictures in your Fundraising Portal. You can make changes as many times as you’d like.
  3. SET A FUNDRAISING GOAL of RAISING at least $250 AND SPREAD THE WORD!
    Once your fundraising page has been set up, you can send emails to your friends and family through your Fundraising Portal. The emails will provide a direct link to your personal page where your friends and family can make a donation to your team.

All registered walkers receive a FREE commemorative t-shirt.
